Well, if we’re discussing hate websites, I think we have to give a shout-out to the Westboro Baptist Church and their elegantly-titled website, godhatesfags.com.
The WBC is pretty open about what it does and what it believes. This church claims to be against every form of impure sexual activity, but in reality they’re most famous for holding savagely over-the-top protests against homosexuals (often at military funerals since, of course, the casualties in the wars America is fighting are God’s punishment for the tolerance of homosexual activity), again, with such elegantly-worded signs as “AIDS Cures Fags” and “Fags Burn In Hell”. They claim to be following the Bible as it was meant to be followed. “If you care about your never-dying soul,” the site says, “you will carefully read every word of this web site, along with the entire Bible.” Because, of course, all of these non-militant Christian denominations just haven’t been understanding the whole Bible these past 2000 years.
The group Anonymous may or may not be initiating a DDoS attack on their website in the near future. Much as I do deplore the WBC, I think it’s kind of ironic that a group dedicated to stopping “propaganda & detestable doctrine” would have such a problem with free speech.
On another note, this isn’t really a hate website per se, but one of our discussions a while back reminded me of the website of the Flat Earth Society. Fair warning: the stuff on this site (especially in the forums) will make you laugh at first. But you’ll probably come away from it without any faith left in humanity.
